cedit
cedit is a desktop save editor for several games, built around one idea. Each game's save format, file locations and quirks live entirely in their own profile, and the editor itself knows nothing about any particular game. Adding a game never means touching the editor.

Engineering
It is written in Python with PySide6 (Qt), the Qt bindings. It started on Tkinter, but the move to PySide6 had a concrete reason. Homebrew's Tcl/Tk 9 renders slowly on macOS in a way application code can't fix, while PySide6 ships its own Qt through a normal pip install. The repository has tests, a Makefile, packaging specs for standalone builds and GitHub Actions workflows.
