GMCM Thai injector
GMCM Thai injector is a script for Thai players of Stardew Valley. It translates the setting descriptions shown in the Generic Mod Config Menu (GMCM), the in-game settings screen most mods use, into Thai.
The problem it solves
Many mods support translation for their dialogue and items but not for their settings descriptions. Those descriptions live in each mod's manifest.json, so a normal translation patch can't reach them. The injector edits the manifests of the mods installed on the player's own computer and writes the Thai descriptions in directly.
Two styles
Every description comes in two Thai versions, and the player chooses one:
- Gamer style: casual and playful, full of gaming slang;
- Formal style: plain and straightforward.
Coverage
It supports more than 92 popular mods. They range from large expansions such as Stardew Valley Expanded, Ridgeside Village and East Scarp to convenience mods such as Automate, Tractor Mod and the CJB mods. The README credits each mod's author with a link to its Nexus Mods page. On macOS it runs from a double-clickable .command file, and a Python script packages each release.
