Build your own Kafka is his JavaScript solution to CodeCrafters' Kafka challenge: a toy clone of the Apache Kafka message broker that speaks Kafka's real wire protocol. It accepts connections over TCP, decodes Kafka's binary request format, and answers APIVersions and Fetch requests the way a real broker would. It is part of his series of systems built from scratch.
