Homie Kitchen is a restaurant management system built with Next.js. It covers what a small restaurant runs on: accounts, the menu, orders and stock.
Features
- Accounts with roles: admin, staff and customer, each seeing a different side of the app.
- Menu management: add and edit dishes and mark them available or not.
- Orders: customers order from the menu and check out, and staff follow each order's status.
- Inventory: track ingredients and stock levels.
- Analytics for the admin, and a layout that works on phones.
How it's built
It is a single Next.js app in JavaScript, whose API routes serve the data, backed by SQLite locally and Postgres on Vercel. The repository includes Jest tests, a document listing every API route, and a deployment guide. It ships with demo accounts for trying each role.
